Inconclusive results can be due to a variety of factors such as not following instructions, squeezing too close to the puncture site, not discarding the first drop of blood, etc.
Insufficient samples occur when the patient does not provide enough blood in the collection device. We encourage the patient to drink more water, engage in activities that promote blood circulation like going up and down the steps or swinging arms for 30 seconds, and run their finger under hot water for one minute.
