Support team should send out a replacement test as well as provide patient the preparation instructions of:
- Make sure you're well hydrated by drinking a few glasses of water at least 12 hours before sample collection. If you're dehydrated, you may experience some difficulty producing larger, lady-bug size blood drops.
- Get up and get moving. Even a few minutes of movement can help improve circulation. We usually recommend going up and down the stairs a few times, jumping jacks, or even simply swinging your arms for a full 30 seconds. If you have a fitness watch with a heart rate tracker, somewhere around 130 to 140 bpm is ideal.
- Wash your hands with warm water (as hot as you can stand) to bring blood flow to your fingertips. Even 60 seconds in warm water increases blood flow by up to 60%.
